Topanga ARt sessions
All levels welcome!
Together we will be exploring various types of mediums including acrylic, water color, gouache and ink and pastels. In the process we will learn color mixing and how to make inspiring pallettes,(the key to good paintngs). We will discover different painting techniques and play with ways to build a painting including collage. This is your time in the studio and I am here to help you find the best way to make the paintings you want to create with as much support and guidance as you need. There is always more than one way to approach painting!

I love to teach painting and to encourage people with their creative process. I was inspired early on by a series of exceptional middle and high school teachers that prompted a meaningful path in my education and life. As a young person I had the opportunity to travel and study art history throughout Europe. I was a fine arts major at UCSD and in both the undergraduate and graduate programs at Art Center College of Design, followed by my immersion in the New York art world. Thirty years later I have raised three artistic children in Topanga Canyon and have pursued many creative outlets. But painting has been a constant and is my origin. And I am happy to share what I have learned along the way.
